Society of Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP)

In 1992, practitioners from 18 different companies created the Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP) to actively promote maintenance and reliability within their field and to the public. The SMRP Guide to the Maintenance and Reliability Body of Knowledge details the key areas of maintenance, reliability, and physical asset management that practitioners and professionals should be proficient in to improve their careers. These key areas are highlighted in SMRP’s “Five Pillars of Knowledge.”

Pillar 1: Business and Management
