Please join us from August 11th through 15th, 2025 for the Transmission and Wholesale Markets School (“TWMS”) sponsored by EEI in conjunction with the University of Wisconsin.
For five intensive days, you will receive instruction from professors from the University of Wisconsin as well as industry and government experts who will discuss issues related to transmission planning and economics, wholesale energy markets, and energy policy, among others. Attendees will develop a deeper understanding of the history and development of the transmission system and energy markets, as well as how the evolving energy mix and changing public policy goals affect both going forward.
Offered annually since 1999, this five-day course provides a review of market design, transmission pricing, expansion planning, and operational issues with an emphasis on the institutional and financial dimensions of policy. When you join us, you will be engaged with a team of well-known experts and seasoned veterans who will describe the current thinking on pricing and market design.
The course is designed to educate and inform electric industry newcomers, as well as experienced industry executives and regulators who want to broaden their understanding of an increasingly complex industry.
